Who even am I
My name is Jenny. I’m 32 years old. I live in northeast Ohio. I am a wife, mother and herbalist.
I’ve been happily married to my husband Josh for 8 years. I have 2 kids, Isaac and Grace, who I homeschool and adventure with everyday. I have a cat named Jeffrey and he is wonderful.
I work part time at a natural health store at the top of my street. I sell teas and supplements. It’s fun - I enjoy helping people find natural medicines for their health concerns. I work like 8 hours a week just to get out of the house and do my own thing for a bit.
I study herbal medicine all the time. I’ve completed 2 formal courses so far and I have my eyes on an advanced course to continue my education. I’ve done a lot of self study, conferences and trainings. I love learning about natural medicine!
Besides all that, I’m in recovery. I’ve been sober for 9 years and I’m very grateful.
I’ve experienced medical trauma throughout my life, with situations varying in severity. My turning point was when my son was born and we “needed” an emergency c-section.
A traumatic birth experience later, I vowed that would not happen again. That’s when I started learning about natural health and alternatives to allopathic treatments. I’ve been on this road ever since 🩷
I like to drink matcha, read, write, be outside, garden, make medicines, try new plant medicines, sit in the sun, cook good food, drink kava, watch Harry Potter, play Nintendo 64 with my son, shop at thrift stores, be with my family and go for long hikes.
I don’t like airports, social media, big groups of people, Starbucks, mass consumerism, perfectionism, Bill Gates, big cities, Walmart, superficial conversations, unnecessary medical interventions, obligations, Chicago, the government, energy drinks and trendy wellness culture. Vomit.
I love my relationship with my Creator and I really like my church home. My faith is very important to me. It has evolved throughout the years, but it’s the only thing that keeps me sane living on this planet.
